Aptina's WLC is a fully-integrated camera in a tiny, reflowable package. We use our design expertise to tailor the module lens to the sensor pixel lenses, creating a uniquely integrated part at a very small size and efficient cost. The reflowable package offers compelling manufacturing advantages, too.
The MT9V113M02STC WLC is built on Aptina's MT9V113 1/11-inch VGA image sensor die. The tiny die enables an ultra-low Z-height of 2.5mm, making this WLC ideal for space-conscious mobile applications. This new camera technology will bring size, cost and performance advantages to applications such as cell phone second cameras, entry level cell phone cameras, notebook computers, surveillance, toys and other consumer products.
Aptina is in the development phase of this exciting new technology. Product announcements will be coming soon so we encourage you to track status on this web site. Due to the nature of the product, at this stage, we are able to provide support for high volume customers only. In the future, we will broaden the availability to medium and small applications through our distribution channels.
