Senior Applications Engineer

Aptina, LLC has multiple openings for the position of Senior Applications Engineer.
As a Senior Applications Engineer at Aptina, LLC, you will be joining a world class team of customer facing imaging product experts. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and value to customers who integrate Aptina's image sensor and system-on-a-chip products into their products, including mobile phones, digital still cameras, notebook computers, surveillance cameras and automotive cameras. Working closely with the product design team, you will be responsible for capturing and communicating product requirements based on customer input and application knowledge. You will also be responsible for supporting the field applications team in product design-in and design-win activities and providing a full set of technical documentation including application notes and datasheets.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- Experience in camera systems, applications engineering or image sensor design.
- Experience working in imaging, video or graphics.
- Direct experience supporting customer hardware.
- Knowledge of image processing algorithms and digital logic design (a plus).
- Excellent presentation/writing skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
Education:
Qualified candidates must have a BS or equivalent foreign education and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; OR MS or equivalent foreign education and two years of progressive post-graduate experience in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Hours of work are usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some weekends required.
