General Ledger Accountant

Aptina Imaging is a division of Micron Technology. As a General Ledger Accountant at Aptina in San Jose, California, you will ensure timely month-end close and accurate financial reporting; including Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow Statement. You will also prepare multi-country financial statement consolidation in accordance with GAAP and be responsible for reconciliation of various general ledger accounts. It is essential that you prepare schedules in accordance with annual audit requirements, assist with implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and with assessing and streamlining accounting policies and procedures. You can also expect to analyze monthly financials to maintain budgetary controls.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- A minimum of 5–6 years in public accounting or relevant industry experience with exposure to monthly close and consolidation processes.
- Experience with multi-country consolidation and FAS 52.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills; specifically Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge in SAP and COGNOS.
- Strong GAAP knowledge.
Education:
BS/BA degree in Accounting
