Financial Analyst

Aptina Imaging is a division of Micron Technology. The Financial Planning & Analysis group plays an integral role in developing the company’s overall business operating plan.  The group also participates directly in the Product Lifecycle Management process by completing all new product financial analyses.  Maintaining seamless operation and accurate data behind the company’s Executive Dashboard is another responsibility of the group. As a Financial Analyst at Aptina in San Jose, California, you will play a key role in this group.
 
In this position, you can expect to coordinate with cross-functional groups, including Marketing, Operations and Product Development, to obtain required inputs for the COGNOS Analyst Business Plan model. You will prepare analysis of the output of the Business Plan model as a basis for critiquing the overall plan. You will also participate in the Product Lifecycle Management process by maintaining individual product COGNOS Analyst financial forecast models, and updating product projections at specific stages of development. Participating in a monthly Sales and Marketing forecast process by preparing analysis of changes from the prior forecast, changes in product mix and changes to wafer volume requirements will be required. You can also expect to assist in the development and maintenance of an Executive Dashboard used by management for decision making.

Successful candidates for this position will have: 
  • Five years managerial accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with creating and maintaining financial models.
  • Experience with COGNOS Analyst, specifically, and the COGNOS suite of applications (highly preferred).
  • Manufacturing experience and familiarity with foundry and subcontractor relationships (a plus).
  • Track record of innovation and business modeling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access or other similar desktop applications (a plus).
  • Drive and motivation to succeed in an entrepreneurial atmosphere.
  • Experience with a fabless, high volume, semiconductor manufacturing model is (preferred).
  • The ability to adapt and improve in an environment of rapid growth and change. 
Education:
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
