Imager FEOL Senior Process Integration Engineer

As a FEOL/MOL (Front End of Line/Middle of Line) Senior Process Integration Engineer at Aptina Imaging, you will be responsible for developing the next generation FEOL/MOL process technology, which includes isolation, gate oxide, gate stack, spacer, spike annealing, and salicidation modules.   In this position, you will develop and optimize the FEOL/MOL CMOS Imager process flow that maximizes yield and performance, as well as margin and ease of manufacturing.

 

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • At least 5 years of experience R&D process integration and process module development on 90 nm and newer isolation, gate oxide, gate stack, spacer, spike annealing, and silicidation technologies.
  • Proficiency in developing/defining salicidation design rules.
  • Proficiency in defining and reviewing, setting up parametric testing of, and characterizing FEOL/MOL test structures, including salicidation characterization test structures.
  • Knowledge of gate oxide reliability testing.
  • Familiarity in OPC (Optical Proximity Correction).
  • Experience in salicide, spike annealing, and low thermal budget module development.
  • Knowledge of FEOL/MOL common failure mechanisms.
  • Experience with physical and electrical evaluation of various types of process related data, which includes probe, parametrics, test, short-loop, cross-sections, layout (Cadence, df2, K2), and material analysis (SIMS, XPS, EDS, SEM, and TEM).
  • A willingness and ability to provide support in multiple areas of the FEOL/MOL process flow as needed.
  • Experience with data analysis software such as Jmp, RS1, and Excel.
  • The ability to work with, interface with, and communicate with a wide variety of people and groups in different areas of R&D, manufacturing, product engineering, and design.
  • A highly motivated, goal-oriented personality.
  • The ability to aggressively execute complex process experiments and focus on solving problems individually or as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to effectively accomplish tasks in a timely manner.

 

Education:MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related field is required.
